Business is hard, but it can be way harder than it should be if you are emotionally weak. Let's get to it.
[INTRO] Hey, I'm Leon Castillo, founder of Selfmastered a high performance training company that helps entrepreneurs scale their businesses by solving their solid bottleneck, their own performance will transform the unproductive, overwhelming and unfocused entrepreneurs into laser focused business athletes that can achieve in one day, what they previously achieved in one week.
So today, I want to talk about one of the most fascinating topics that I've researched in my life that I truly believe can make the difference. If you are not in the place in live, you like to
be, right and it's understanding how does our brain process emotions and more importantly, what to do about it. So how to use our natural human operating system to work for us irrespective of circumstance. So if you think about it, being in business is very hard. Because if you are an entrepreneur, you are trying to build a machine that spits out profit predictably, in a world that is unpredictable, right? So you need to be very good at navigating change at to understanding what is the flow moving and adapting to it. And that is very hard for any human being really, but for entrepreneurs is even worse, because we feel an identification between the business and our cells. And the problem is that our brain, our human brain does not welcome change. And that's a problem, because every time we are hit with something that is in unexpected, some change that we did not perceive it can paralyze us, you can even trigger the fight or flight response and we do not know how to process that change. And that triggers emotions, that triggers fear and anxiety, stress or price and it would not know how to navigate those emotions, then we just do not know how to profit from that situation. So how can you make change work for you every time what is the emotion that you can use to propel yourself forward irrespective of the things that happen? Well, in my view, in my experience is anger, anger channeling the dark side, channeling getting pissed is one of the most effective vectors
for personal transformation because anger is arguably along with fear, one of the strongest emotions we can feel and he can override pretty much any other emotions that we may be feeling anger override, surprise overrides, boredom, override sadness, all rights, loneliness overrides anxiety, it overrides pretty much everything. So if we know how to channel anger, we
can choose to become angry. And if we choose to become angry and directed towards one fruitful endeavor, we can affect the change we want. In a very specific example. If you look at
the mirror, and you do not like what you see, get pissed, and then do something about it. If you find yourself fat, get pissed and then do something about it. If your business is not growing, get him pissed, and then do something about it. channeling that anger is one of the best ways of surmounting deem difference that may come from having failed too many times. At one thing, it can be the perfect catalyst for change and you can override the boredom that you may be experienced doing the mundane work as we discussed in one video, I'm going to be linking around here anger is the ultimate emotion that you need to harness and channel for personal growth but do so in a productive manner. Right don't get pissed just for the sake of getting pissed because that can destroy you get pissed and then do something about it. If you truly embrace this mental model, if you get to your desk and become angry at the things you still don't have a definitely want to have, you will get them faster. So I'd suggest that you make inventory of everything you think you deserve, that you believe you've paid the cost to have that you think you've worked hard and long enough to get them but still don't have them and then get pissed and of course do something about it.
